Brewing isn’t the only science that’s progressed since George Washington’s time. An avid brewer, he favored the English porter style and developed his own recipes known for their use of molasses. While we use the sweet stuff in our version of his recipe, we promise it’s not enough to leave you in need of new teeth, but at least if it did, nowadays they wood-n’t be so bad.
