The Double Feature IPA Series premiere? Return of the Lake Erie Monster Double IPA, a colossal new remake of our cult classic Lake Erie Monster Double IPA. This refreshing new “sequel” features the same bold, flavorful hop character Lake Erie Monster is known for with a lighter, more drinkable body. Like any good sequel, it took great skill, attention to detail, and respect for the original for our brewers to craft Return of the Lake Erie Monster. Core hops Simcoe and Willamette retain classic hop flavors, while Idaho 7 and Azacca make cameos for a more modern touch. Caramel malt and hop bitterness are cast in supporting roles, leading to lighter mouthfeel and easier sipping. And, of course, the infamous South Bay Bessie still fiercely graces our label art. The result? Return of the Lake Erie Monster, a Double IPA remastered, and deviously drinkable.

Launching next is summer blockbuster Spacewalker Hazy Double IPA. Few movie genres are as universally beloved as sci-fi, and few beer styles have as many die-hard fans as the Hazy Double IPA, so Spacewalker is poised to break some box office records! Spacewalker features a blast of tropical and stone fruit aromas from an otherworldly helping of American hops Mosaic, Zappa, and Calypso. Wheat and oats provide a full, rounded mouthfeel, the ideal launching pad for Spacewalker’s intergalactic hop flavors. One big sip, and you’ll enter into a hazy hop multiverse of massive proportions, right there alongside the colorful space adventurer on the can. 

The Double Feature IPA Series finale is a stone cold classic and fan favorite: Nosferatu Double Red IPA. Like the silent vampire film which inspired it, our Double Red IPA was almost scarily cutting edge when it was first brewed in the early 90’s, helping set the standard for the hop-forward red IPAs that still have their devoted followers today. While remakes can be great, sometimes the original is too good to touch, and that’s how our brewers feel about Nosferatu. We’ve kept the same bitter Cascade and Simcoe hop fangs, and the blood red hue that Special Roast malt provides. Sink your teeth into this rich, roasty, red Double IPA with a frightfully delectable bite that's crept into hophead hearts for decades.
